Pearls Before Breakfast
By Stock Charts | April 13, 2007
This is completely unrelated to stocks/investing, but I just came across this article today and it had quite a profound impact on me. The article, Pearls Before Breakfast, describes a social experiment conducted by the Washington Post involving a world famous musician, a subway, and some spare change. The results are pretty startling, painting a pretty bleak picture of a society that has become so obsessed with the destination that the journey there is forgotten. It’s a pretty lengthy read, but well worth your time.
